We're glad you came by, but you might find what you're looking for elsewhere. TI-Basic Developer is not the site it once was. While its information on commands and other calculator features remains almost second-to-none, its forum, archives, and even hosting service, Wikidot, have been decaying for years. The calculator community would love to see what you're working on, or help you in your next coding adventure, but TI-Basic Developer is no longer the place to do it. Instead, you should head over to Cemetech (primarily American) or TI-Planet (primarily international). Both are active, well-established forums with their own archives, chatrooms, reference material, and abundant coding tools and resources. We'll see you there, we hope. |

How can I extract a single solution from solving a system of equations, such that I could "automatically" define each variable?

I have the CX CAS version and I run Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on a laptop. What are the available resources for writing and testing programs on my computer, and then uploading to my calculator?

I have developed this code on my ti-nspire software.
I ported it to Matlab, and it works I'm assuming that there is some simple order of operation errors.
Please look it over and see where its wrong
desireded function is x^2.10-2sin(x), 0,4,30
the results should be
ea=0.000093
xopt=1.427552
As stated this identical code works in mat lab as a function when reformated
ideally, I would be able to set the conditions to the while loop as
ea>es
and have it calculate as many iterations as necessary to get to a reasonable error percentage.
