						 <p>of course we're not dead. there was/is nothing to fear. i dont know where people get the idea that black holes will destroy the earth, or something like that. black holes, for one will just evporate due to hawking radiation and the lack of enough mass to do any damage to anything. as for the other stuff, they are more hypothetical than hawking radiation.</p>

All recent safety reports discard the doomsday claims.</p> <p>The LHC has been started, and in weeks, if not months, two photons traveling at close to the speed of light will collide, potentially unlocking the secrets of the universe and how it started.</p> <p>To all of those who hold steadfast in their beliefs of doomsday, I only have this to say: The LHC has been turned on, and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAlHBEFRdX0">I'm not yet dead (leads to youtube video).</a></p>
