i think its my calculator, because when i tried a spare calculator, it the files transfer.

has anyone ever heard of such as thing like this before???

ive already done that. ive removed and reinstalled everything from the computer, from ticonnect to studycard creator.

i somehow got 1 small program to transfer onto my computer before it stopped working again. i know i have a lot of memory(51k or so) , so that cant be the problem.

try uninstalling ti calc completely and redownloading it and reinstalling it. If that doesn't work i don't know whats happening.

help!!!!!!!!!!!
now my computer just let me send 1 file, and suddenly decided to shut down. whenever i turn it on, it works, but when ticonnect tries to link, it shuts down all by itself.

yeah. ive always (re)installed ticonnect before hand. i only plug my calc back in after restarting the computer. i have only touched the drivers once, and that was to fix them. the drivers were fixed until this sudden crash

i have like 7 copies of the ticonnect installation stuff on 4 cds 2 flash drives and on the computer. after i removed, restarted, reinstalled, and restarted the computer, it still didnt work.

i swear that the calc was tranferring only minutes before that.

I don't know if this is the case, but with my computer, i had to use the exact same usb port that i first installed it on, or else it wouldn't recognize it.

Did you install the driver for your calculator before ever plugging it in? If your calculator came with a CD, that's where you'd find it. If you didn't get a CD, I'm sure it is online somewhere.

i have a windows xp home edition
there are 3 usb drives which all work (i recently reset the driver settings to make my calc connect again,which worked)
everything worked until i tried to transfer some apps from backup to my calc (2 got through, then everything failed)

anything else?

What the specifics of your computer? I could help, but I need to know what Operating System you use, at the very least.

the connection failed again, but this time its even weirder.

now, the computer connects perfectly with the calc. it let me set the time and refresh but it refuses to let me send/receive files. i dont get it. only a few minutes ago, i was transferring finely. the next minute, the computer says that the calc is malfunctioning.
i know that both ticonnect and the drivers are working perfectly, so what's going on???

Thanks, but my computer does not have the IEEE stuff. the drives/ports whatever they are just show up as USB1 (ti84+se) and COM3 ([empty]). they have always worked normally until a few days ago. i have ticonnect 1.6, so it should work like it always has, but it doesnt

arghh. when will brandow release periph8x?

is there anything i can do with the hardware stuff in the control panel?

I have tried out TILP, but since it doesnt work on my computer even with GTK+, i deleted it. does that have any affect on the usb drives? i think i deleted the drivers or something, so when i plugged in my calc after deleting TILP, the computer said that the calc was a new device. i reinstalled it, and now ticonnect can detect my calc and show the files, but cannot do anything else. everytime i try to send or receive a file, it says something about not recognizing the device or that its not connected. but when i press skip or cancel on the mini window, it goes right back to normal, but when i refresh ticonnect, it has to search for my calc again, rather than just refresh the files that are detected. i know my calc is always on and not frozen when its connected, so i dont know whats going on.
