Welcome!
I'm a sophomore in highschool in Calculus and Stat with a TI83+, a bricked TI84+SE, a borrowed TI 89 Titanium, and a TI84+CSE (learning the color commands currently) - we can learn the calculator together. TI BASIC was my first language; it was what got me into programming. I think you'll find it a great language, although if you've learned computer languages, its limited abilities may frustrate you. I hope your experience with TI BASIC will be a pleasant one. :) The starter-kit is a great tutorial, albeit incomplete. For the graphics section, there is a bit more to your calculator (ahem… COLORS), so you will have to experiment some more with your calculators. Have fun with the language.

Hi, welcome to the community, nice to meet you. Im Silver Phantom. I am a sophomore in high school. I can only program on a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, so i wont be able to help much with your programming since there are changes between the TI-Basic in the 84 and 84 C. however most of the stuff you find here might work for the 84 C. your calc comes built in with an app called catalog help, which when you press + while selecting a command, it will bring up the arguments needed to operate it.
have fun programing, wish you well.
-Silver Phantom

Hello friends! Well…I don't know anyone here yet…but I sure hope I will! Anyways, I am 16 years old and am a junior in high school. I just entered advanced algebra and decided to buy myself a TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition Graphing Calculator. Now, I am really into computers and such, so of course I immediately find that the calculator is capable of programming with TI-Basic. And I thought to myself, "I have to learn this new programming language!" So I started messing around with it, not really accomplishing anything. I talked with my friend who knows about TI-Basic much more than I did. That helped some. But then I went to the internet, and I stumbled upon this website. And I am very glad I did! This friendly community website looks very nice to me, and I hope that I will learn tons from it, and contribute tons to it when I get better with TI-Basic. So, thanks for having me as part of the community and let's work together, all of us, to make the most out of programming!
