TI-89 Titanium coding is more powerful, and the commands are tokenized. It also supports local variables, which is useful if you don't want to clear out variables in use. Read 68k for 83 Coders.

Guys…I found it. Our path to finishing the 68k website. Starting from page 786, all the commands are listed. This is a HUGE step forward, so members could now be able to contribute without having a 68k calculator. Page production will probably restart tomorrow or Wednesday because my Titanium is getting delivered around that time.

The TI-89 Titanium is the most powerful of the 68k calculators. Definitely worth getting as far as I'm concerned (getting mine on the 19th) You can see all the specs here.

In addition to expanding the 68k portion of the TIBD, made a new website called Calcforce. Going to make 68k Basic the main feature, but it will include TI Basic tutorials as well.

Good news, bad news time!

Good news: I am upgrading to a TI-89 Titanium!!!!
Bad news: I have to wait until around the 19th for it. I will continue the commands, but when I get it, I will work on the specialized commands that are exclusive to it.

nCr() counts the number of ways to pick r objects from a list of n objects where order doesn't matter. It is equivalently $\frac{n!}{r!(n-r)!}$ and also describes the r^th entry of n^th row of Pascal's triangle.

I don't know. I've been using CalcCapture, and I don't think that's the source of the problem. Even then, I can still see pictures on other parts of the website using the file link, so I don't know what is going on. Maybe it's the page in particular, otherwise, I'm just as baffled as you are :(

I will make a note on all the pages where screenshots won't appear so I (or maybe even a mod/admin) can fix it. But for now, I will continue on page creation for commands, as that is top priority.

I looked at discovered that the nCr() command page doesn't have a file uploaded to the page, it rather has a web link to a .gif. If there needs to be an uploaded file for an image to display, then I spent 10 minutes on that .gif link for nothing. Oh well. I don't know why the image on the Store command page won't display. Have you tried to view the .gif somewhere other than TI-BASIC Developer? There may be some obscure problem with the .gif itself.

I know there is a .gif file attached to the nCr() page, I spent 10 minutes tinkering with it. I just looked at the Store command, and it looks like the same situation as the nCr() page, won't display the .gif for whatever reason. Where did you get the .gif on the Store command page from?

Tinkered a little with the .gif on the nCr() page, and I am completely baffled by the page's failure to display .gifs. The only thing that I can think of is maybe the .gif has a file size bigger than the amount of memory left on the site (I know you said the site had 200MB left a few days ago). If others would also take a look at the page (the page link is above) and see if they can solve the mystery.

Finishing the programming commands in the command index shouldn't be too hard (I already finished 3 and counting)

BTW, 68K isn't limited to the 89, there is also the 92, 92 Plus, the 89T, and the V200. Any of those should work :D

I don't have a TI-89 but using the online catalog/manuals I should be able to help out. I have already created the starter kit page (very basic template) so feel to start adding links and organizing it.

Actually, it should be a bit easier because in the catalog, the TI 89 (and probably other 68k's) gives you the arguments for the command, which is REALLY nice. That means that we will (mostly) know what to input for the command. Best calculator ever :D

EDIT: Another thing I noticed is that the site has about 200MB of space left. This might be a lot, but to make sure nothing unexpected happens, I think we should compress the screenshots we take to save space. I've found Compressor.io to be a nice GIF compressor, but if there is another one more efficient than that, it should be used/shared :)

I agree. Commands-Starter Kit-Nspire nuances seems like a logical order. Of course, the commands may be the hardest thing to accomplish, since we will basically be experimenting with and doing research on the commands. How much documentation already exists, I do not know.

I think we should start making pages for any commands we see useful in program creation. From there, it will be easy to create the Starter-Kit.

I am all for this. I do not own a TI-89, not sure if I will get one at some point or not, but I have looked at some 68k pages before, and this is what I have noticed.

1) The Starter Kit, as you mentioned, should be pretty high up the list of things to do. I think it should generally mirror the one for 84-BASIC.

2) Completing the Command Index is also one of the more important things that should be done.

3) Since there is only one real page for the Nspire line of calculators, and (from what I have heard) the 68k is very similar to the Nspire, I think it should be pointed out when 68k differs from Nspire commands and routines.

This is seems like a huge undertaking, and it is probably going to take a long time before the 68k pages are even close to what the 84-BASIC pages are now.

I have recently noticed that there is no Starter Kit for the 68K line of calculators. I have recently gotten a TI 89, and am interested in adding/fixing pages, along with making a Starter Kit. I was thinking we as a community could post suggestions of what to improve there, what to clean up, what to add, etc. It would be neat if we could work together to make this better and more complete. What do you guys think?
