I couldn't find the program GatoradeDC. It said it was removed by the administrators. Anyways, your 2-group back-up method works nicely! I have a total of 3 groups, 2 of them I do the back-and-forth stuff with, and the 3rd one to have a copy if both fail. Thanks for the help everyone for providing the info I need. :)

Program Release Information: (This will possibly be the Read Me) The Celtic III game Snake Arcade will be released for the TI-84 Plus Family around July 4th, 2019. You are able to change the snake skin and the food with 20 different characters! However, in order to change your skin, you must purchase them in the Store. At the start of the game for the first time, you start out with 20G (Gold), and 10 apples. The Gold is the in-game currency, which is used to buy skins in the store. You are able to buy up to 20 different skins for your snake and food, but the default skins are free so you can always play with the default skins. The Apples are like extra lives for the snake in Space Snake. If you accidently crash into an astroid, you may use an apple to continue your journey into space. In the store, if you run out of either Gold or Apples, you can exchange between both of them, respectively. One Apple is equal to 10 Gold. If you run out of both, you can easily earn gold by playing the games. There is a Store sale on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays with items that are 30% off. Other than changing the Snake skin and food, you can also change other settings as well. You can set the contrast for the game and the TI-OS, toggle the Run Indicator on or off, choose whether to archive the save data on exit, ask to overwrite the previous save, check for updates, and change the username. If check for updates is enabled, the game refers to the update application variable file "SnkArcUp". It checks the version of the Snake Arcade game, and the version of the Application Variable. If the Snake Arcade version is out-of-date, the game will tell you an update is found and continue the program normally. Update the game with the UPDATE program included in the zip folder. You can change the username for the player. The default name is "SNAKES" (Inspired by the original Home Alone movie "Snakes" reference), and can be changed in the Options option in the main menu. There is a 10-character limit when inputting new usernames, and you can also input an underscore in the username as well (Press [3] (θ, ι3)). There is a built-in high score system for the game too, so you can show off to others that you beat their high scores! There is a XP/level system implemented in the game as well. At the start of the game, you begin with 0 XP, and Level 1. To upgrade to the next level, you need to get 25 points from playing games. You get a gold reward based on the level you upgrade to. If you upgrade from level 1 to level 2, you get 10 gold, level 3 15 gold, and so on. The requirement for level increases gets bigger for every level you advance. You can also view your data in the main menu. You can see your Gold, Apples, Selected Skin and food, and your XP and level status. It shows the XP you have and the required XP needed to upgrade. It shows a bar on the bottom of the screen indicating how far you have gone in that level. The update process for this program is unique in most ways, you use a program to update the main program with the update file in an appvar. If the main program does not exist (from an accidental deletion or RAM clear), the program will create a new program and install the code in the empty program and make it playable. More updates will be featured soon!

Ideas and suggestions are appreciated!

There is an assembly program on ticalc.org called IDrestore. It tries to retrieve the original ID on the calculator. If it finds it, it will write it. Also, if you don't want the risk of failed groups, make sure you always have at least two groups. For example, let's say you make two groups called SA1 and SA2. They will both have a copy of the same program. If you make a big change, delete one of the groups and replace it with the new program. Group the group with the same name as the grouo you deleted a second ago. Now, if you make another change, delete the SECOND group and re-group the SA2 with the newer program code. Then do this back and forth, respectively. Now remember, if you are trying to group SA1 or SA2 and one of them fails to reach the archive, you have the other one with the previous version. Always, Always, Always make sure you have at least ONE group with the program code in it, so you have another to spare if either fails.

So, it said that I had to look for the largest page address. If the largest page address has a twin, I had to look for the largest memory address. So I tried to do the group recovery steps and I kind-of got my group back. I ungrouped it and it only had about 30% of the program code, but some of it was corrupted. The guide said it is easier to re-do the project in some situations, so I decided to just re-do the entire thing. I'm almost done with the version I'm working on, and this one should be around 8½ - 8¾ kB instead of 11kB. CalcSys crashed my calculator once while trying to recover my program, and for some reason, my ID on the About screen is gone… I took a screenshot of it before on TiLP and it is 0A2DC-0CA97-52A6. I don't know how that happened, but it looks like it's gone. The Self-Test shows "ID FAILED" when I self-test. Is there a way to recover my ID on the About screen?

Okay, so I visited the link and I read some information for recovering groups. I'm using CalcSys like it wants me to, and the guide said that I need to circle the largest memory address. Is the largest closest to 0000 or FFFF? It gave me like about 9 memory addresses for the SNAKEARC group name (The program name and group name were different from each other) and I don't know which address is bigger or smaller.

EDIT: Sorry for the delayed reply Trenly, I had a 4-day backpacking trip and I had no service
EDIT 2: Also, does the page address matter for the largest memory address?

This link talks a lot about memory recovery on the TI Calculators. Since your program(s) were In RAM there is no way to recover them UNLESS they were archived at some point after the last garbagecollect. If they were truly archived after the last garbagecollect, it is still a fair bit of work to get them back. Because the grouping failed, that failed group never made it to archive. Since the group was never added to the archive it cant be recovered from the archive.

Based on what youre describing, you will likely be unable to recover the information at all. If by some chance the information is somewhere in your archive, its likely corrupted anyways and would require some work to patch. The more corrupt it is, the harder it is to patch.

So, I was working on a new project to upload on ticalc.org. I was working on a game called Snake Arcade, where it had many awesome things in it. It had 4 different snake-game modes: Original home-screen snake, Nibbles, Space Snake, and Dimented Snake. The program itself was about 11kB, and whenever I made some big changes, I would delete the group containing the SNAKEARC program and a different file, then re-group the program again. I would do this several times, and I Garbage Collected once, and I deleted and re-grouped about 6 or 7 times after the garbage collect I did. But the most recent group I tried to back-up I had some trouble on. Instead of grouping it like it should, the calculator froze ane just sat at the "Copying Variables to Group: SNAKEARC". I waited like 2 hours hoping it would actually group, but I was unsuccessful. So unfortunately, I was forced to remove a battery clearing the RAM when I turned it on again. I checked the groups in Memory Managment and sure enough, the group wasn't there. I tried using Dr. D'nar's Archive Undelete utility to try to recover the group, but it just gave me an "Archive Error."

So now, I'm really upset that the game I've been working on is gone. I've been working on this game for 6 days, and now all my planning and programming I did for this project I was excited to share with all of you, for nothing. Is there any way at all to recover some group I backed up in the VAT? I haven't garbage collected and I'm not even going to touch my calculator until I try to sort this dilemma out. I'd be really appreciated if any of you can spend the time to find a solution for this problem.
