Welcome!

Bumping is allowed but it is advised not to do it unless it's important or interesting. Always better to bump a thread than to start another one about the same topic, though.

Lol that's what I was going for (albeit to a lesser degree); better to give yourself some room on the lower bound ;P Newbie and average, then.

Thanks for the welcomes. And… the rules don't disallow it, but is bumping allowed?

Usually I look up command parameters like those of dbd( when CtlgHelp doesn't live up to its name. The techniques are helpful too, especially when writing functions/subprograms. I had been using tons of Lbls and Gotos until I found out a program could call itself…

Welcome :)

Atm I guess I'm somewhere between noob and average (probably lower in this community though).

We all have to start somewhere. Plus, we're here to help, not to tell everyone we're better than them.

Please don't call yourself a "noob". That word has become derogatory and synonymous with "idot" or "stupid" instead of "new". (Sorry, that's one of my pet peaves)

Isn't this wiki-community the best thing since the wiki?

Yes, welcome indeed… It's a shame that your school's computer resources are limited — Thank goodness you have a computer at home.

May I ask, what things do you look at on the TI|BD? For example, looking up a command/technique/etc, etc.

I first came across TI|BD a little over a year ago and have made sporadic visits since then. Last year my school's only computer class's only computer teacher (who btw does not own a computer) tried to teach us rudimentary BASIC, but I found TI-BASIC to be much more interesting and practical. In the following year I began to focus more on web design, but now that I've finally got the drivers from TI-Connect working again on a new computer - 4th time's a charm - I've started to regain interest in TI-BASIC. Atm I guess I'm somewhere between noob and average (probably lower in this community though).

So… yeah, hello :)
