Posts in the discussion thread "How to edit/compile/link programs on a Linux desktop?" - I have the CX CAS version and I run Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on a laptop. What are the available resources for writing and testing programs on my computer, and then uploading to my calculator?

There is the TiLP. I have not personally tried it out on Ubuntu since I have a dual-boot with Windows I can switch to for TI-Connect CE.

I have the CX CAS version and I run Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on a laptop. I'm sure there is way to port TI software onto a linux computer with a program like Wine, but I don't think I could If I wanted to because I have long since lost the product-key. I have some experience writing programs in C, but I have no idea how to compile and run a TI-BASIC program on a computer. Are there any editors like notepad++ or Sublime? Is there a compiler like GCC that could take a regular text file and compile TI-BASIC source code? Then what would I need to run that code on my laptop, and then upload to my handheld?
