This program is unique and has error checking and uses logic not menus to solve a triangle making it easy to use. This program is for right angle triangles only. Right angle triangle solver Ultimate Edition- Draws a picture of a right angle triangle in a split screen with the angles and the sides (opposite adjacent and hypotenuse) labeled. There are no additional files needed. It will save and restore your Xmax Xmin Ymax and Ymin and turn the axes back on as long as the program is ran to completion. |

New to this stuff wanted to write a right angle triangle solver
I made a simple one at one time but dang. Does yours work with a Ti-83 Plus?
It should work fine on a ti83 plus
It doesn't show well on a ti84 ce the graph points are off
and it doesn't draw a nice trangle however with small modifications it'll work for a ti84ce as well.
It can also be downloaded by searching Right angle triangle solver Ultimate Edition at ticalc dot org
It seems to work fine on the TI-83+. I didn't detect any errors at all. All the commands in the program fit the 84+.
Here is a short demo of it on the 83+:

Thanks. I haven't been on here or programed anything worthy lately. Honestly I got a cold and got really bored and read a bunch of articles on here how to make logic work false statements multiply by zero and true ones multiply by one. I thought that was fascinating and wanted to make something useful. The right angle triangle is my favorite shape.
How did you make a gif of that program? I'd like to make one of the program solving a problem. Thinking of that program in retrospect hopefully nobody needs to figure out a triangle with a side or angle equal to 3.141592653589793 (or whatever the calc rounds pi to) or the program will be tricked into thinking you've hit X to solve. Maybe it should have been pi times -1.

you could take out all the xmin->j and the others if you put ZoomSto at the beginning and ZoomRcl at the end of your program
Thanks! Perfect. I didn't know of that command.
