We're glad you came by, but you might find what you're looking for elsewhere. TI-Basic Developer is not the site it once was. While its information on commands and other calculator features remains almost second-to-none, its forum, archives, and even hosting service, Wikidot, have been decaying for years. The calculator community would love to see what you're working on, or help you in your next coding adventure, but TI-Basic Developer is no longer the place to do it. Instead, you should head over to Cemetech (primarily American) or TI-Planet (primarily international). Both are active, well-established forums with their own archives, chatrooms, reference material, and abundant coding tools and resources. We'll see you there, we hope. |

What the community thinks:
I can't upload my file for download, I can edit everything else but when I try to save after uploading the program it times out and gives an error.
So, until I get that working use the alternate download which is in the description.
Please help if you can
I am having problems too, perhaps the problem is happening on Wikidot's side (example of this happening here). I will try to contact somebody on the Wikidot Community forum, but in the meanwhile, occasionally try to upload your program.

I have uploaded the image 2017-09-17_13.57.03.png and i think - the minimum is the FLASH allowed as 3. Party tool in the broweser setup !

Interesting. Although I have never had a problem with it in the past. Perhaps file size may also play a factor?
Also, Helmut_pdorf the issue wasnt that the files didnt upload. I was able to find the archivefile page that contained the program quite easily. For some reason it seemed to be that the error was in linking the file.
All files uploaded on Wikidot platform are stored on "wdfiles.com" ( for security reason - not to allow a javascript in an html window to readwrite on wikidot itself :
this is equal to wikidot.com/local—files/page-name/filename ( equals the "info" on the file list )

Hey I got on this morning and to my surprise there it was my file was there on the site! And I can now upload the updated version!

Hey, eeffeemorgan here, my friend has a Ti-84+ CE, you know the ones with color screens, and I was messing with it today and found that I might be able to rebuild this program on his calculator(HD with colored blocks!). So, if you would like me to make a CE compatible one comment yes on this post.

although, I'd recommend against having any hollow blocks, because those take a lot more effort on the calculator to draw than just a solid block of color. But the Ti-84+ CE does have a lot more power than a ti-83+, so you could do a lot more with it.
Oh my, that's a brave path you're taking. The CE has so many pixels (264x164 I believe), which means a whole lot more drawing on the graphscreen. I believe you can do it though! If you have any problems, don't hesitate to ask, we can all help you out in one way or another.

Thanks! I will keep testing it out and if it works I'll upload the file, I have already gotten some of the world generation to work.
Also, could someone look through the code and try to optimize it, I tried but I don't think it helped.

This game is recommended for the monochrome calculators. The CSE is a slower calculator than the monochrome ones.
